Education & Experience
Dr. Perez earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida and received her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the UF College of Medicine.
Following medical school, she completed pediatric residency training through the UF COM Department of Pediatrics at Orlando Health. She worked at Arnold and Winnie Palmer Hospitals for Children, Women and Babies, one of the busiest labor and delivery hospitals in the country and the busiest in Florida.
After residency, she became Board Certified in Pediatrics and maintains active certification. She practiced as an outpatient general Pediatrician in Orlando and Wellington.
Dr. Perez, wanting to expand her knowledge in breastfeeding and lactation, became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
Village Lactation Medicine was founded when Dr. Perez decided to pursue her passion for lactation medicine

Bio & Fun Facts
She immigrated with her family from Cuba as a young child and has lived in Florida most of her life. She knew she wanted to be a Pediatrician at the ripe age of 10!
Dr. Perez resides in Wellington, FL with her college sweetheart husband and their two boys.
She loves going on adventures with her family, whether it’s a big trip or just discovering a new spot in town. She’s rarely seen without a latte in hand and lives for slow, cozy Sunday breakfasts at home. Her favorite part of the day? Snuggling up with her boys for bedtime stories.
