Our Story

“After having my first baby, I knew I wanted to breastfeed, but I wasn’t prepared for how difficult it turned out to be.”

What I imagined would be rainbows and butterflies turned out to be poor weight gain for baby, pain for mama, and many tears for both. I felt unprepared and defeated. Through support, perseverance, and late nights of research, we found our village. Village Lactation Medicine sprouted from a desire to find a comprehensive lactation medicine home where both baby and parent could get breastfeeding and lactation help with physician level care.
